To Blog or not to Blog
Hola! It has been a while since I have posted about our adventures.

We are currently on a car road trip from Oakland to Seattle. I know it's not a motorcycle trip, which is what this blog was originally for, but we are still riding together so it seems like it should count. Plus, what am I going to do with all of this time I'm passenging?
Here is the ton of shit we brought.
Inside those colorful duffel bags are our backpacking backpacks, which we dusted off for this trip. Originally I thought they would come in handy when getting last minute campsites which could be walk-in, but we might actually go backpacking. We'll see.
The rolling duffels contain 8 days worth of clothes and the idea was that we would leave them in the trunk and just take what we need for the night. Buuuut...our car rental was literally a "mystery" (like, on the reservation), and our mystery turned out to be a Camaro. While the trunk is large, the opening is small. So for now, Julie is going to live out of the backseat and Jaron will live out of the trunk. This means that we don't have room for a cooler and are thinking of other configuration solutions. But no matter what, I am NOT lugging that fucker in for a night.
The good news is that we got our mystery car right away, like the way rental cars worked in the Before Time. Bc we have had to wait a really long time, and I mean hours, to get rental cars since the pandemic, and we actually gave up on it on our last trip and got by borrowing my sister's car.
So! We hit a Subway for lunch, then an REI for supplies, then a Target for more supplies, and are headed to Fresno to spend the night before we go to Sequoia National Park tomorrow. It's looking like Mexican food for dinner and a motel so that we can sort all of our shit out and be ready to hike tomorrow.
